About the Artist, Devyani

You could say I have many artistic proclivities. One is very detailed work, and another is larger installation sized experiences. The best is having them both together, but that’s a whole other level of pain. Point is, it’s a no brainer that I need my nails to be strong and protected. These nails are another tool in my belt, so they have to withstand the regular use of power tools, heavy lifting, and a whole lot of metal fixtures and sign holders - being a visual merchandiser. Name brand nails which I had paid a pretty penny for, bent and cracked when I wore them to work. So it was time to go all in, doing it myself. 

As my knowledge grew about the craft, I fell in love with the versatility of gel. And the tantalizing fact that I have only just scraped the surface of creative possibility.

So here, in my mid 30s I made the lamentably optimistic decision to step away from my Visual Merchandising career and open this small business.

So here we are, strong, queer, fabulous.
